(Note: This post was originally written in September 2017 to help customers prepare for Hurricane Irma. We modified it to explain one of our great features, Inclement Weather Routing.)

Your business phone system service agreement with Loop Communications includes an Inclement Weather Routing feature that helps your business deal with the unpredictability of Mother Nature.

No matter what kind of storm you encounter, we have phone system options that will help. If you lose power/internet or are unable to make it into the office, here are some things we can do:

  • Set up an inclement weather recording that will play when a customer calls, letting them know the situation and giving them options (such as leaving a voicemail which will be sent to your email)
  • Forward your main line to an external number such as a mobile phone

Also, remember that you can log into your User Control Panel to forward calls from your extension to an external number.
